Assessment of Human Exposure to Electromagnetic Field from an Intra-body Communication Device using Intermediate-frequency Electric Field

(in English) Induced electromagnetic quantities were numerically calculated to assess the exposure to electromagnetic field from intra-body communication devices using electric near-field. Anatomically realistic human model was used for the calculations. The quantities include internal electric field, induced current, and specific absorption rate (SAR). Calculations were performed with finite-difference time-domain method with the accuracy check by means of comparison between analytical and numerical results for a sphere model. The calculated results of induced electromagnetic quantities were well below the basic restrictions of the ICNIRP guidelines. The results show that intra-body communication devices should not exceed exposure guidelines as far as the concept of the device is similar to the model assumed in this study.
