Recognition of ``Stirring'' Actions based on the Positioal Relations between a Cook's Hands and a Cooking Container

(in English) In this paper, we propose a method for recognizing a cook's ''stirring`` action, which can seriously influence quality of cooking results. Although there are some previous works tackling a similar recognition task to us, they sometimes misjudge that the cook is stirring something while he/she is actually not stirring. This is because they have not used the characteristic features that can be observed with and only with the ‘’stirring`` actions. We will improve such misjudgments using characteristic features of the positional relations between the cook’s hands and a cooking container, which are obtained with a depth sensor. In our experiments, the proposed method achieved successful recognition results which are 90\% identical to those of a human evaluator.
