Measurements for dynamic distortion of loud-speakers using swept-sine signal

(in English) To evaluate the distortion of a loudspeaker, we considered the method to observe its dynamic-distortion by using a Swept-Sine signal. By using a low-pass or high-pass Swept-Sine signal in place of the test signal eliminated the narrow-band component that is used in the conventional dynamic-distortion measurement, we observed the distortion that occurs not only within the narrow-band but also in the eliminated band. As a result, we identified the band that mainly caused the distortion, and confirmed that the newly proposed Swept-Sine has greater sensitivity for detection of the dynamic-distortion. We have described the difference between the distortions detected on a speaker-unit 8cm in diameter mounted on a box-shaped enclosure or an egg-shaped enclosure as an example.
