Switch size reduction effect of waveband switching on optical path networks with equalized wavelength resource among links

(in English) The concept of waveband switching (WBS) could overcome the issues that complexity and cost of nodes when the number of wavelength increases. The WBS can mitigate the requirement for delay because of the switch size does not depend on only delay, but also the number of waveband. Another key factor for the optical networks is the number of wavelength. In order to save wavelength resources, the effective method might be the equalization the number of path through each link. This report describes two important results. The first is that the equalization does not induce the enhancement of switch size. The second is that the wavelength reduction effect by the equalization is larger than the wavelength increase induced by the waveband grouping.
