A Novel RF Devices Imperfection Estimation in Multiband MIMO Receivers with Baseband AGC

(in English) A heterodyne multiband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) receiver for cognitive radios is required to reject the serious image-band interference. The baseband signal goes over the dynamic range of the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) in the presense of the very strong image-band interference signals. Then, the baseband automatic gain control (AGC) is effective for reducing the dynamic range of the baseband signal fed to the ADC. However, the baseband AGC degrades the transmission performance by using the conventional estimation technique. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel radio frequency (RF) devices imperfection estimation scheme for the heterodyne MIMO receiver with the baseband AGC.
