Nonlinearity compensation algorithm and soft-decision forward error correction are key technologies for future high-capacity and long-haul optical transmission system. In this report, we experimentally investigate the impact of perturbation back-propagation algorithm on nonlinear distortions in 224 Gb/s DP-16QAM transmission over large-Aeff pure silica core fiber and demonstrate that the distribution approaches to Gaussian and the probability of phase slip reduces by the nonlinear compensation. |
