Electric power is one of the important infrastructures for our life. The electric power system is going to change drastically by clean energy, which is unstable power supplies,such as photovoltaics and wind power gen-
eration,and introduction of a distributed power generation. Although it was said that the electric power system in Japan was high quality, electricity shortages due to shutdown of nuclear power plants and vulnerability of the power system in a disaster become serious problems. In order to maintain a balance between supply and demand under such a situation, a mechanism called demand response,which manages user consumption of electricity depending on supply conditions at peak time, becomes the focus of attention.
In this paper,we conducted research on the demand response. Since the number of electric power users is an immense number in practice, the management system will require a large computation time. In order to perform a demand response exibly, we proposed a system with hierarchical structure, and conducted experiments by computer simulations to conrm the effectiveness. |
