Input Impedance Measurement of a Balanced Dipole Antenna Corrected by Considering Characteristic of 180-degree 3dB Hybrid Coupler

(in English) It is known that the input impedance of balanced antennas can be measured with the 180-degree 3dB hybrid coupler. However, to accurately measure the input impedance of balanced antennas, it is necessary to consider the $S$-parameter of 180-degree 3dB hybrid coupler because the $S$-parameter of 180-degree 3dB hybrid coupler is not ideal. In this paper, we examine and compare the three methods to correct the input impedance. The two methods require full two-port measurement between the sum and difference ports of 180-degree 3dB hybrid coupler, the other method requires only one-port measurement at the difference port. Furthermore, we confirm the effectiveness of the proposed methods to correct the input impedance by comparing with the input impedance calculated by the methods of moment.
