A new underwater technology of visual contact and survey, which independent on water turbidity and/or illuminance has been needed. Then authors have developed an underwater acoustic imaging and survey system based on Frequency-controlled method, whose view field achieved similar to human’s eyesight. The system performances are as follows; 1) the observation distance is from 5 to 25 m, 2) the field of view is 33 degrees, 3) the recording movie is at a 4 fps, 4) the surveying precision within 5%. Such performance satisfies the request of the practical usage on underwater structure maintenance surveying. |
