In this paper, we considered a brain-computer interface (BCI) based on cognitive P300 event-related potentials (ERPs) elicited by visual stimuli. It is necessary to discriminate between the target which the subject is looking at, and the non-target. In this study, we have examined the change of the waveform of ERPs of non-target stimulus according to the layout of icons on the display. The result showed that the waveforms of ERPs are changed depending on the distance between the target icon and the non-target icon. With these results, it is useful to arrange the icons according to the change of ERPs. |
