Corresponding to the need to increase the data rate of sensors on Earth observation satellites, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has been researching and developing high-speed mission data transmission systems supporting satellites in the Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) series. In this presentation, the following are described:
1) Overview of the Direct Transmission (DT) and Data Relay and Communication (DRC) systems in JAXA.
2) DT subsystem of ALOS-2 and X-band 16 QAM Modulator.
3) An ultra-high-speed transmission system for the next generation. |
