Multi-mode ka-band radar system has been designed and implemented for the obstacle collision avoidance on the highway. Key subsystems consist of the patch array antenna, coherent transceiver, and radar signal processor, and controller. Radar signal processing algorithms include MTI and IMTI, pulse integration, CFAR, FFT, and change detection. Through the radar field test using radar data acquisition system, radar performance is analyzed in term of detection probability of obstacles. The Performance result shows 90.6 % and 10-6 at a distance of 500 m using the reference RCS of 30x30 cm. |
