Image and video quality evaluation has become an increasingly crucial research topic with the development of multi-view 3D glassless technology. Quality evaluation for CG media is targeted at improving quality standards for the increasing number of viewers of such media contents. Regarding multi-view 3D glassless displays, when CG camera viewpoints are increased, more coded degradation pattern is occurred, which negatively affects user satisfaction. There is a lot of research being conducted on the subjective evaluation of coded degradation for glasses 3D contents. However, there is missing focus on multi-view glassless 3D where image quality related to coded degradation is evaluated per viewpoint, and specific user satisfaction is affected by the occurring coded degradation at certain viewpoints.
In this paper, we examined the results of a subjective evaluation experiment, where subjects with an understanding of evaluation values have been aware of coded degradation for certain viewpoints. When degradation occurred in 1 or 2 viewpoints, we verified whether it had a strong impact and relevance to the overall image quality. |
