Electro-optical devices based on poly(alkylfluorene) fabricated by all solution process

(in English) Among polymeric materials, poly(alkylfluorene) derivatives are soluble conducting polymer, and have high emissivity with bipolar conductivity. Fabrication and characteristics of organic light emitting diode (OLED) and organic field effect transistor (OFET) utilizing poly(9,9dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl) (F8) and poly[9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-co-(benzothiadiazole)] (F8BT) have been discussed. In order to fabricate a device by all solution process, Ag nano-ink has been used as an electrode. Fluoro-polymer Cytop (Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.) has been used as a gate insulator in OFET, and the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) light was irradiated on Cytop film to be formed patterned electrode. As a result, high emissive OLEDs have been realized using multi-layered structure, and a patterned light emitting transistor has been obtained.
