Development of Ultra High Density Optical Fiber Cable with Slitted Optical Fiber Ribbons

(in English) Recent years, as the growth of the Fiber to the Home, small diameter, lightweight, and high density optical fiber cable is required, to build an optical fiber networks efficiently and low cost. As the require, the slitted optical fiber ribbons has great advantages in high density cable, and we have developed the 4 count slitted optical fiber ribbons, which is useful in handling and fiber splicing workability. We stored the 4 count slitted optical fiber ribbons in 24, 40, 60, 100, 200 count ultra high density optical fiber cable, checking the performance experimentally. On this paper, we will describe the main design contents of the slitted optical fiber ribbons and the ultra high density optical fiber cable, and report the various characteristics.
