Interference alignment (IA) is an effective approach, which acheives high capacity by overlapping in- terference signals in a subspace. Transmitters, however, require global channel knowledge and precise time syn- chronization. In order to facilitate these practical difficulties, we have proposed new interference alginment scheme named semi-blind interference alginment (S-BIA), where each transmitter needs to know channel coefficients related to itself and S-BIA retains the same degrees of freedom (DoF) as conventional IA scheme. In this paper, we in- vesitgate the feasibility and practical concerns of S-BIA using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Specifically, we study the effect of time synchronization error between transmitters and peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) via computer simulations. We further investigate convolutionally coded S-BIA with OFDM transmission and show its bit error rate (BER) performance. |
