| 抄録 | （和） | 言語学などの社会科学と神経科学などの自然科学は，共に脳の知的活動ですが，両者の間には大きな文化的壁があります．当研究では，『意味と理解』という切り口から，その現象の脳神経科学的(唯物的)解明を目指し，壁の撤去を試みます．高次連合野における『知覚(認識/意識)と記憶(学習)』機構の定義を出発点とし，コミュニケーション上問題となる誤解，文脈(状況)依存性，語の多義性，クオリア(質感/感性)などの説明へと進みます．『分らない(疑問/問題意識)』ということの説明が，『分る(気付く/発見する)』機構の解明へと導きます．本研究で説明する諸原理(動作機構：モデル)は，新しい発見的問題解決技法として，連想を伴う広義のパターン認識(状況/局面/文脈認識など)の分野に広く応用できます．それは非言語的感覚(直感/予知/予感など)の認識も含みます． |
| （英） | This study is a trial to bridge the communication gap between social science (e.g. linguistics) and natural science (e.g. neuroscience) through a neuroscientific explanation for the phenomenon of “meaning and understanding” in the brain. After the definition of the mechanism of “perception (recognition, consciousness) and memory (learning)” in the higher order association cortices, the paper discusses the serious matter on human communication such as misunderstanding, contextual (situational) dependency, ambiguity of a word ,quaria and so on. Furthermore, the paper explains what the “understand (notice, discover)” is in our nervous system through the explanation of the wiring mechanism of the “don’t understand (question)”. The operating principle (model) mentioned in the study suggests various applications in the area of macroscopic pattern recognition such as situation/context/atmosphere recognition as a unique method of heuristic problem solving. | |
