Development of Support System for Company Research in Job-hunting

(in English) The main topic addressed in this paper is to propose an approach which reflects “viewpoints” for company research by graduate students, such as purposes and interests of information search, and structure of search results, into information search process on the Web as one of job-hunting activities. Company research process in job-hunting is to consider “why do they select certain companies” by themselves. In this paper, we propose a Web search model including students viewpoints for company research and develop a support system which provides three support functions, company deliberation, company search, and information provision. We have also investigated effectiveness of the proposed system by conducting a case study. The results intended to reflect students’ viewpoints for deliberating the companies, and seemed to be easier to collect versatile information than the conventional search engines and job-hunting support sites.
