OTA(Over-the-Air) system is a method to evaluate the performance of a MIMO communication terminal in a real environment. There are two types of OTA system. One is a fading-emulator-type method which creates a fading environment by placing the probe antenna around DUT. The other is use of a radio echoic chamber named “reverberation chamber”. In the previous paper, We have proposed a simplified configuration of fading-emulator-type multipath creation scheme called “antenna-branch-controlled type”. In this paper, we propose a configuration of a simplified MIMO-OTA system based on 2-stage method. Then we developed a software program for simulating the proposed system. In order to show an application example of the scheme, and to identify the evaluation accuracy, we carried out an experiment on antenna coupling effect. |
