Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper proposes a master-slave channel selection scheme to improve fairness among cells in IEEE 802.11 wireless LANs. Each access point (AP) in our proposed scheme selects its operating channel in such a way that interference is minimized and the number of APs on each channel is balanced. Through numerous simulations and testbed experiments with UDP and TCP traffic flows, we show that the proposed scheme improves the minimum cell throughput and fairness among cells.
