A surface wave antenna with a 2-by-3 array of dogbone-pair is presented. This antenna has advantages of low-profile structure and having a directional radiation pattern. The direction of the main beam is directed parallel to the longest part of the dogbone element. Furthermore, this antenna shows a uni-directional radiation pattern in the horizontal plane and an increased antenna gain compared to that with 2-by-2 elements having a bi-directional radiation pattern. |
