Angular dependence of Gilbert’s damping constant \alpha$ for Ni-Fe(011) single-crystal thin films prepared on MgO(011) single-crystal substrates were investigated by employing Q-Band ferromagnetic resonance analysis. The \alpha$ for 10nm-thick and 20nm-thick specimen had the constant value of 0.008, which did not depend on the crystal direction. With decreasing the film thickness from 20 to 2 nm, the \alpha$ increased suddenly from 0.008 to 0.040. The 2nm-thick and 5nm-thick specimen had the maximum value of \alpha$, when the external field were applied parallel to [01-1]Ni-Fe directions. |
