A walkthrough system to show person's view.

(in English) Walkthrough system is a system to represent a virtual view of a travelling direction. If we measure a person's position and face direction and construct a walkthrough image from these information, then we could reveal the person`s view. For example, when a surveillant can estimate an object that a person watches, it is not so difficult for the surveillant to find some abnormal behaviors. This paper presents a system to show person's view which captures images of a person's position and face direction and constructs walkthrough images. Using multiple omni-directional cameras, this system estimates the person`s position from the person’s angles which the omni-directional cameras capture. This system also estimates the person's face direction from the skin region. Using the person's position and face direction, we constructed a system to represent walkthrough images of the person's face direction. We performed experiments on the precision of the person's position and face direction and the performance of output images. The results show that the system shows the person`s view.
