Speed-Up of Micromagnetic Simulator Using GPGPU

(in English) Micromagnetic simulator is a strong tool to investigate the magnetic behaviors of hard disk drives. However, the simulator exhausts so enormous computation times that its speed up, especially the one in magnetostatic calculations, is a very important issue. In this study, the speed up of a micromagnetic simulator has been investigated using a general purpose computing on graphics processing units (GPGPU) whose integration development environment (CUDA) is provided by NVIDIA. The effects of GPGPU are discussed in this study.
