Study of elliptic function superconducting dual-mode high-power filter with double-strip-resonator

(in English) The use of a double-strip resonator is proposed for improving the power handing capability of high-temperature superconductor transmit band pass filter (BPF) with stripline (SL) structure. A double-strip 2-pole BPF with a 5.0-GHz center frequency and 100-MHz bandwidth and with an Al2O3 substrate was designed and fabricated. The measured frequency response of the filter was clearly observed band-pass characteristic. In addition, the elliptic function double-strip 4-pole BPF was designed for obtaining sharp cutoff characteristic. Simulation using the electromagnetic simulator showed that the out-of -band rejection was improved. The maximum current density of the elliptic function filter with double-strip-resonator was approximately 30% lower than that of the conventional 4-pole SL filter with single-strip-resonator.
