To develop and manager a multi-variant software effectively, the codes
corresponding to each feature, which is consisted of a variant are
divided by preprocess directives in a source code in the development in
C language.
Preprocess directives are used to divide the codes for resolving difference of compile environments and features. However, copious usage of preprocess directives prevent appropriate comprehension of dependencies among features. Our main goal is automatic extraction of the relations among features that concern to implement a function. In this paper, we propose a method to extract the relations among features based on its dependency degree.
To show the efficacy of our method, we extract the relations among features in an open source software. As the result, we confirmed that it is possible to extract the sets of features that concern to implement each function by setting the appropriate dependency degree. |
