Inorganic EL devices prepared by ink-jet printing using submicron phosphor particles

(in English) SrGa2S4:Eu green EL devices were prepared by ink-jet printing using submicron phosphor particles. Number of particles on substrate and thickness of phosphor layer can be controlled by changing the number of printing. The flat surface of the phosphor layer was also achieved by changing the printing shot position with proper dispersants such as butanol and isopropanol. A currently obtained luminance driven at 1 kHz is 37 cd/m2. This printing technique enables us to prepare inorganic EL devices even at a low process temperature of less than 200℃.
