MR Elastography (MRE) and Ultrasound Elastography (USE) are used to quantify the storage modulus or shear wave velocity of tissues. The purpose of this study was to compare the shear wave velocity measured by MRE and ARFI method in USE on the homogeneous phantom and heterogeneous phantom. 4 MHz convex (4C) and 9 MHz linear (9L) probes were used in ARFI method. In homogeneous phantom experiments, strong correlation was found between the rheometer measurement and the value measured by MRE and ARFI method. For heterogeneous phantom tested, embedded soft cylinder was overestimated by each method. There was no correlation between cylinder diameter and measured value. And measured value of soft cylinder was softer than background. In embedded hard cylinder, each measurement method showed lower value as the cylinder diameter became small. |
