Photovoltaic Properties of Tandem Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Using Ni-mesh Common Electrode

(in English) The efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) is not good enough to put into actual utilization today. In order to improve the power conversion efficiency of DSCs, a new design for DSCs has been desired. There is a technology - a tandem DSC structure with different absorption regions, which has been designed to improve a photocurrent. In the tandem structure consisting of two independent cells, the incident light will decrease severely before it reaches the back photoelectrode. In order to improve the optical loss, our group proposed a new type of parallel tandem dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) using a Pt-mesh as a counter electrode. In this study we try to change Pt-coated Ni-mesh instead of Pt-mesh for reducing manufacturing cost.
