Welding of metals by ultrasonic has a method by complex vibration. But the method has a problem with difference of welding strength in direction, so the vibration trajectory is a straight line because of the difference between longitudinal and torsional vibration amplitude. In this study, we proposed a new method of welding to solve those problems. In previous paper, vibrator with diagonal slits obtain planar vibration trajectory. In this paper, characteristics of ultrasonic welding using planar vibration trajectory was examined. As the result, the method of ultrasonic welding using planar vibration trajectory obtained high strength than welding using linear vibration trajectory in the same welding time and static pressure. |
