Proposal of a Channel Shortening Method for Uplink MC-CDMA Systems

(in English) This paper proposes a channel shortening method for uplink MC-CDMA systems.
The proposed method shortens the impulse response of the effective channel to within the CP length by adjusting a time-domain equalizer without pilot signals and thus suppresses inter-block interference (IBI).
The basic idea is that a channel could be shortened by restoring the orthogonality of spreading codes, which is destroyed by the effect of IBI.
We derive a sufficient condition for the proposed method to suppress IBI perfectly.
Furthermore, we show that MAI can be suppressed, and channel estimation is unnecessary.
Computer simulation shows that the proposed method can shorten channels and is superior to a conventional method.
