(in English) The social and industroial infrastructure in the 21st century must achieve the susutainable innovation, growth and continuous improvement of productivity and efficincy based on open and smart architectural framework. The Internet-framework, that has been deployed in the end of the 20th century, shall contribute this goal. IEEE1888, which is designed for facility networks, adopts Internet-framework in the system architecture design, for open and smart facility management and control. One of features of IEEE is the capability to accommodate legacy systems in the current field. The IEEE1888 has been deployed at the Eng.No2 building in University of Tokyo campus, and achieved various new functions and energy saging.
