| 抄録 | （和） | 従来のJPEG画像圧縮符号化において，テクスチャ領域には大きな情報量が発生することが知られており，高圧縮の際にボトルネックとなっていた．そこで本研究では画像に領域分割を適用し，テクスチャ領域の一部分のみを顕著性マップの情報から選択して，それのみを符号化する．デコード側では選択されたテクスチャの一部分に対してテクスチャ合成を適用することにより対象となるテクスチャ領域全体に拡散し，ポアソンブレンディングにより貼り付けることで視覚的に違和感の無い復号画像を得るとともに，大幅な符号量の削減を可能にする手法を提案する． |
| （英） | It is widely known that a large amount of information is required for complex texture regions when conventional image coding standards such as JPEG are utilized. In this paper, we propose a new texture synthesis image coding, in which complex texture regions are detected by image segmentation in the encoder and only their small partial regions are encoded and transmitted, and texture synthesis technique is applied at the decoder to reproduce full texture regions. Our algorithm newly introduces a saliency map to select texture regions to be encoded and an effective texture synthesis method based on Poisson blending technique in the decoder. Simulation results show that the proposed method can reduce a large amount of bits without visual degradation in comparison with the conventional JPEG. | |
