| （英） | In linguistics, homographs are words of like spelling and different meanings. Thus, in English, the word "bear" could mean "to carry" or the animal. In this work, we extend such concept to wireless interference channels to achieve zero-interference communications over an interference-limited multiuser channel. Rather than sending different signals to the different receivers, a single signal is transmitted to all the receivers instead. The signal is carefully designed such that it conveys a different meaning to each receiver, the meaning being the intended symbol. As only one signal is transmitted, the interference problem becomes irrelevant. Aside from achieving interference-free communications over an interference-prone channel, the proposed scheme: 1-does not require any channel information at the transmit side; 2-does not require any side information about the interference at the receivers; 3-is applicable to any MIMO configuration (including SISO); 4-is scalable to any number of receivers; 5-is applicable to any modulation scheme; 6- Has low computational complexity. The required transmit power, though larger than the single-user scenario, is nonetheless shown to be smaller than what would be required to make the interference treatable as additive noise. | |
