In the next generation mobile radio communication systems, high-speed and uniform communication service is demanded even under high mobility environment such as high-speed trains. In conventional networks, communication area covered by one radio base station is limited, so the received signal power at a location remote from the radio base station is significantly reduced due to propagation loss. Transmit/receive antenna diversity in single frequency network (SFN) formed by multiple distributed antenna has been studied as an effective technique to solve these problems. In distributed antenna network (DAN), the channel is expected as Nakagami-Rice fading channel since the communication between base station and mobile terminal will be a line-of-sight communication. In this paper, the channel model for frequency-selective Nakagami-Rice fading in distributed antenna SFN is presented first. Then the performance of downlink SFN transmit/receive diversity in high mobility environment is evaluated by computer simulation. |
