Improvement on Specific Emitter Identification by Nonlinear Control in Baseband

(in English) This paper presents the deliberation about nonlinear estimation for specific emitter identification (SEI) in IEEE802.11a/g. As a method of SEI, it is known that design and fabrication variations provide unique signal signatures for each emitter, but there is a problem that identification accuracy is not sufficient in a low E_b⁄N_0 environment because those characteristics are generally small. Therefore, we propose a method for improving the identification accuracy by nonlinear control in baseband and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method by computer simulation. As a result of estimating the nonlinearity with known long training sequences, in the case of normal nonlinearity, although it is difficult to identify transmitters in practical E_b⁄N_0 , the proposed nonlinear estimation method is expected to give a satisfactory identification can be achieved.
