(in English) It is required to realize the cost-effective optical access network that has higher capacity than 10G-EPON (10 Gigabit-Ethernet Passive Optical Network) due to the massive increase of internet traffic. In this paper, we propose a cost-effective 40G-OCDMA system using SSFBG encoder/decoders (E/Ds) at each ONU (Optical Network Unit) and single multi-port E/D at OLT (Optical Line Terminal). The full-duplex asynchronous, 40 Gbps x 4-user OCDMA transmission has been successfully demonstrated.
