Complex emotions expressed by combining six basic emotions

(in English) We investigated two aspects of complex emotions by two studies：conceptual structure (study 1) and, expressive and cognitive characteristics (study 2). In the study 1, participants answered the questioner sheets on which six complex expressions were printed. Participants rated how much basic expressions were contained. In the study 2, participants made combined movies to match with presented complex expression. The results revealed that, in both concepts and cognitive aspects, six complex emotions were classified into four clusters which were composed of some basic expressions. Our findings suggested that complex emotions might be expressed by the combination of six basic emotions.
