The electric holographic displays can show real three-dimensional object images. Key characteristic of this display is viewing angle. Spatial light modulators (SLMs) that use to display hologram provide the next viewing angle φ for diffracted rays : φ= sin-1(λ/2p), where λ is a wavelength and p is a pixel pitch. The SLM with 1-μm-wide pixels can display holographic images over the viewing angles of more than 30 degrees without glasses. We studied light-addressed magneto-optic three-dimensional display (MO-3D Display) with submicron-scale magnetic pixels. This device uses a magneto-optical thin film. In this report, we show wide-viewing-angle computer generated hologram image on light-addressed MO-3D Display with tiling method. |
