A Dynamic NAV Period Control for High Priority Media Access Control in Wireless LAN

(in English) A policy of QoS control in wireless LAN is important in case that a terminal of Voice category of IEEE 802.11e generates excessive traffic. In this paper, we propose a dynamic NAV control, Dynamic $CW_{min}$ control for an access point(AP) and queuing method, even if the high priority terminals and the proposed terminals coexist. In the proposed method a fake period is added to conventional NAV period to control priority, and Dynamic $CW_{min}$ control and adaptive queuing controls are added to AP. Then the proposed method archives fairness among terminals even when excessive uplink traffic is generated. We evaluate performance of the proposed method by simulation experiments, and show that the proposed methods serves controlled priority.
