At work place using machines, there are many work styles which access to the moving part of the machine, such as confirmation of the work process, or adjustment, processing, trouble shooting, maintenance, repair, or cleaning of machine.
We named these works as a “hazardous point nearby operation”. The industrial machine accidents connecting to the “hazardous point nearby operation”account for 44.2% of death ("being caught in or drawn into a machine" and “being impacted against a machine"). If an appropriate method for risk reduction of the ” hazardous point nearby operation” is established, a substantial reduction of the industrial accidents is expected. In the present study, we examined a risk reduction method focusing on the “hazardous point nearby operation” of circular saw of woodworking machine, which is thought one of the most dangerous operation. We developed a supportive protective device confirming the position of the worker’s hands, which included RFID system, attached an IC tag to gloves. The IC tag received the positional information of worker’s hands with an antenna. We concluded that the device established in the present study functioned effectively as a result of a magnetic field analysis. |
