A Flood Hazard Model Based on Damage Situations

(in English) People in the disaster risk area needs disaster information such as river levels for reduction of disaster damages. However, river monitoring networks have not enough observation point of the river level. Therefore, insufficiencies of the hazard information prevent local residents from averting danger in flood disaster situations. This research gives people warnings of floods by using actual river level though the Internet.Our model provided indicates a common index parameter of the dangers of flash floods. The main contribution of our hazard index is to help people understand the danger level. In the evaluation, we show the hazard index meets the actual river level.
