Attempt for optical data transmission through human palm

(in English) o realize practical optical communication through human body, an experimental study was conducted on the near-infrared light propagation through model phantoms and a human hand. In a backscattering configuration, the optical data transmission over 200 mm distance was possible. Using a practically compact equipment, the optical data transmission from the wrist to fingertips was attained. It was found that the light attenuation was lower along a narrow diffusing object than the object with large scattering volume. These results suggested the feasibility of the optical communication through a human palm.
