Detection of unknown sound using self-organizing neural network SOINN.

(in English) The pattern recognition systems constructed of the neural networks generally need prior information as the training data set for constructing the network. In this study we proposed a neural network which doesn’t need prior information for detecting unknown sounds. This network is based on an unsupervised neural network SOINN and can learn sounds on time. Furthermore, this network detects the sound which is never presented before. Experimental results show that the proposed network can successfully learn and detect the unknown sound simultaneously. We also understood that there is the indispensable prior information for constructing a valid system.
