Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs) are networks that enable us to exchange information by tolerating a long delay time. In this report, we consider DTNs realized by epidemic transmissions, in which information is spread by wireless transmission between nodes and mobility of the nodes. While a DTN is generally used for communication between a pair of specific nodes, it is sometimes used to transmit information to unspecified nodes in a specific area. For example, such situations can be seen in information delivery in a local area and that in disaster situations. In such cases, the destination of information is not a specific node but a specific space; therefore, information has to be stayed in the destination space so that people entering the space later get the information as well as people being there. In this report, we consider to make information stay in a specified space during a specific time period suppressing useless information spreading. To do this, we consider to restrict wireless transmissions between nodes in a designated time and space in epidemic transmission. We evaluate this method to show basic properties of the relation between limit on information exchanges and stay of information. |
