Total throughput degrades dramatically due to frame collisions and waiting time when there are many active transmitters using CSMA/CA. A medium access control scheme for simultaneous transmissions has ever been proposed by the former reports. The prospoed scheme is called Distributed Cooperative Medium Access Control (DC-MAC). DC-MAC aims to use the capture effect to realize simultaneous transmission and higher overall throughput. To realize simultaneous transmission, transmitters use a same backoff value which is shared mutually. However, the former discussion assumed that the same backoff value is shared and a matching for the cooperation is taken in advance . Therefore, to cooperate with the other transmitter and share a backoff value, an autonomous matching method is proposed in this paper. The proposed method enables transmitters to decide the other one autonomously without a control center. Even if the transmission starts before sharing the same backoff value, DC-MAC with the autonomous matching method improves the system throughput. |
