Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) ID/locator split-based network architectures, such as HIMALIS, LISP and HIP, provide several attrac- tive capabilities by introducing topologically-independent host or endpoint IDs. However, they mostly consider only the issues associated with changing locators of hosts due to mobility or multihoming and still lack enough consider- ations to resolve the issues associated with changing locators of network nodes, such as name servers, gateways and authentication servers, in the event of locator renumbering. Therefore, this paper addresses the locator renumber- ing problem in the HIMALIS architecture by employing the hierarchically automatic number allocation (HANA) mechanism. It also presents the implementation of our proposed fast failure detection/recovery mechanism and the Fast Initial Link Setup (FILS) mechanism, which has been standardized in the IEEE802.11ai Working Group, to improve session’s continuity by reducing packet loss during a handover.
