In recent years, applications of adaptive arrays based on Power Inversion algorithm (PI adaptive Array) for interference suppression in ITS communication or and in side of cars are actively researched. In conventional PI adaptive arrays, it is supposed that antenna elements have similar performance and signal environment of the elements are also the similar. In that case, there was some freedom in setting of a constraint vector in the PI adaptive arrays. However, in a specific situation such as above applications, the antenna elements and the signal environment are not similar. The authors have found that the performance of the PI adaptive array is considerably affected by the constraint vector in the specific situation.
In this report, behavior of the PI adaptive array is analyzed when the condition of the array antenna is not uniform. Then, appropriate selection on the constraint vector is discussed. Firstly, effect of the constraint vector is analyzed theoretically. Then, effect of the constraint vector is clarified though analytical result and numerical result. |
