Detecting Reflection from Single Image Based on Nuclear Norm Minimization

(in English) We propose a reflection detection method, namely, a method to extract edges of reflection, from a single image using a constrained nuclear norm minimization.
The proposed method is designed based on a novel observation, which we call the textit{REF-linearity}, that differences between neighboring pixels at the boundary of reflections tend to distribute linearly in the RGB space.
In the proposed framework, we estimate ideal edges of reflections by promoting the REF-linearity, which is translated into a constrained weighted nuclear norm minimization problem.
The problem is solved via the primal-dual splitting method, resulting in an efficient reflection detection from a given image.
Illustrative numerical examples are also presented.
