A Note on Fast Computation Method of Polyphase Filterbank

(in English) This paper presents a way of fast computation method in polyphase filterbanks.
Filterbanks divide a single-channel signal into multi-channel signals, process signals in each channel, and synthesize the signals into a single channel output signal.
One of the problems in filterbanks is large computational cost due to multi-channel processing.
Polyphase filterbank can reduce the computational cost but it is still large compared to general filters.
Recalling that one of the authors has already presented the hybrid filter that enables low-cost operation
in FIR filtering, this paper presents a way of fast computation method in polyphase filterbanks as an extention of
hybrid filtering into the filterbank problem.
